Conversion Of Our Leasehold Titles to Freehold by Admin

TRA has submitted an application on behalf of all residents at Tropicana, through our MP Dr Nasir Hashim, to handle our application for us. We have been advised that the matter is now with the State Executive Committee &
the Mentri Besar. We are hopeful that the matter will be given due attention soon & that we may then look forward to receiving our new Titles soon. We may however be required to pay some premium to convert the Titles. Those
who cannot afford to do so will be given adequate time to do so. E.g. 99 yrs.

We were also informed that TRA will be notified should there be any progress on the matter & that TRA will be required to Submit the names of the residents & their property details in Tropicana tobe included in the conversion process.

Residents are therefore advised to join TRA as soon as possible to ensure we have your details, as we can only submit the names & property details of members whom we represent when the request comes. We will keep you posted on this wonderful opportunity with our new website which will be launched in October.

No updates but lots of rumours swirling around. Some say PKR govt is too distracted for the time beoing with other issues to pay much attention to this. Others are saying we need to see the opeing of PJU 1a connecting Ara Damansara with Tropicana as Ara Damansara is freehold(??).

Ust a bit of history on this issue. I was told that tropicana used to be estate land, and at that time it was possible to convert estate land directly to freehold land for housing development if a premium conversion fee was paid, but Dijaya, being the cheap skate as they are, decided to pay a lesser amount of conversion fee and had the land converted to leasehold. If this is true, it shows the inherent, inbuilt grossly inconsiderate nature of our developer!
