Tropicana Golf & Country Resort is a prime suburban residential township in the north-west section of central Petaling Jaya. The 625 acre community is divided into parcels and is served by the 350,000 sq ft Tropicana Golf & Country Club (www.tropicanagolf.com), reputed to be the largest 18-hole club of its kind in the country.

Tropicana Residents' Association (TRA) was set up to serve the needs of its residents with respect to the preservation, improvement, protection, and advancement of the community. Our aims are to:

* Build a stronger community by helping residents work together
* Represent and campaign on issues that are important to our residents
* Be tolerant of different points of view
* Act in a non-political way
* Help organize social events which help bring people together
* Encourage our residents to participate and be involved in our community
* To establish close links with local councillors to communicate issues affecting us.
* Keep residents informed of relevant news pertaining to our community

The TRA represents close to 1,000 households in the community and we communicate among ourselves through our official website (www.TropicanaRA.com), newsletter (Tropicana Times), flyers, and activities. We have helped improve services, security, infrastructure, participation, and the intrinsic values of our homes.
